Multilink to straight axle?

I wish I could come up w/some factual data on the strength of the 960 diff compared w/ the dana 30. I suspect its at least as strong.

One of his major concerns it getting the tallest gearing that he can. And the beauty of the Dana 30 is that we have been able to a use 2.73 ring and pinion. I've done a little research and I can't come up with a taller diff offered in the 960 than 3.73. If I could find maybe a 3.31 diff for the 960 I might be able to convince him to stay with the multilink. (which I absolutely love by the way)
