Do you know this car?

Mine too. I had the stock 740 pusher fan in front of the AC condenser, which I didn't ever hook up, and I had the GM 16" engine-mounted electric fan as specified by Converse, on an unproven used all-metal diesel rad. Worked great, even idling for 40 minutes in 95 degree heat waiting to take the emissions test. I never once in three years saw the needle go beyond halfway.
