fluid temperatures in LT1/4L60E?

Brian,

Yeah, I have a friend who used to race his BMW 2002. When I asked him about oil temps he said that he too ran ~240-250F, but it was with an oil cooler on a hot day, running round the track.

I know for certain that if I start doing hard starts/stops the oil temp would start going up.

My mileage is ~16 around town and 20 on the freeway. I think Sten gets 25% better mileage. Some of that is my auto vs. his manual, but I'm not sure why I'm so much lower.

take care,
simon
