John - no direct experience, however, take a look at the double sump oil pan on a 5.0L HO motor. Putting the 'hump' in the pan over the crossmember allows that motor to fit pretty well/easily into the bay. You should be able to compare the bottom of a 5.0L HO to the bottom of the LS1/2 and get an idea of what the challenges/solutions are gonna be.
