Need some driveshaft advice

Hi
I used a one piece driveshaft from an oldsmobile. Fit the back of the T56 just fine. It starts out at 2 1/2 inches and goes to 3 inches after about 8 inches or so. I cut the back end off so it stays 3 inches all the way to the back. Per JTR I used the larger companion flange and bigger than stock U joint. At first it touched at the two bolts sticking threw the floor that secures the seat belt anchors. I took a porta-power and just spread this 1/2 an inch or so. Never touched since. By the way I used the IPD adj. torque arms and followed the included instuctions to adjust the pinion angle. Again, works like a champ.
