volvo V8

hello. i have been around volvos from my early years and i love them. i breathe volvo. anyways, about a year or two ago i heard about the V8 conversion and have recently become very interested. i have a decent knowledge of how cars work, (along with my brother, we swapped an engine into a 93 subaru impreza while my parents were gone. still working on it) and i am wondering: what kinds of tools are needed, and what kind of fabrication must be done to complete the job. i am willing to be patient in finding a volvo worth working on (197x or 198x 240 GLE preferably) and a donor car with the motor/tranny i need to use. if any of this sounds stupid please correct me because i am really interested in doing this.

thanks

PS is there anyone in this forum who lives in or near Milwaukee Wisconsin
