I think I'm going to make a go of it without the Converse kit...

Hello again!

The swap is begining! I think I'd like to skip buying the Converse kit in putting my carby 302 into a 76 wagon. The mounting arrangement for the motor itself doesn't look very complicated, and not having EFI dramatically simplifies the wiring delima. I recently got in touch with an excellent fabricator who seems to be taking an interest in the project, so everything should be alright, but I have a few quick questions.

-Does anybody have a set of Converse instructions they would be interested in copying/selling? A set of instructions would make an excellent checklist/refference.

-How much does the Volvo driveshaft get shortened? I'd like to get it mod'd before we fabricate mounts so that we can fit the entire drivetrain together at one time. Can I scavenge the proper coupling off of the T-bird driveshaft?

-Do any Ford guys out there know anything about the OEM auto-trans cooler? It sounds like a good idea, but all I see is a pair of hardlines going into an otherwise normal looking radiator. I'm planning on fitting the T-bird's radiator into the Volvo, but should this be upgraded to a better cooler? (I'd imagine a universal oil cooler would do it)

-Can anybody think of a reason why braided stainless steel lines wouldn't work for p/s and a/c lines? These would be easier than hardlines to get made in custom lengths, and look pretty darn cool under the hood.

-Are the measurements for the auto tranny linkage anywhere online?

Thanks!
-Aaron
