AOD Swap

Chris - there is a guy on corral.net by the name of MYLITTLEHO who has posted tons of info on rebuilding the AOD yourself. He recommends the Baumann shift kit (I have TransGo, would go Baumann next time :( oh well), using A/A+ OD servo, 2" kevlar? OD band, etc. plus lots of pics that make it seem do-able rather than intimidating. As Michael said below, I doubt the removal/replacement of the trans itself will be too tricky for you if you've done a FWD clutch RR before (though I'm not speaking from experience as I had a shop put in my shift kit over one day). Anyway, check out the AOD info available on corral, should at least be helpful in figuring out the rebuild particulars. -Boozer
