AC update questions

Ahhh, that's interesting. I never noticed that with mine. You could tell by the air coming out of the vents? Good idea with the ball valve, but pain in the butt.

Have you done anything to heat-proof your car? I have always noticed a lot of heat from the exhaust. I put a bunch of the fiberglass-looking-mylar faced stuff around the shifter to seal that off a bit, it really helped the hot air coming out of the shifter hole, and got rid of a lot of noise. But the entire tunnel area by my leg gets warm, and I am suspecting that some of that warmth gets right into the vent system. One of these days I will have to line the tunnel with some of the self adhesive reflective stuff.

When I ever need to pull the tranny, that's probably when I'll do it.
