How hard is it to move from an AOD to a 5 or 6 speed?

The Volvo body doesn't care which transmission it has. All the holes and cutouts are the same. The Ford computers are different between manual and automatic, so you would need to read up on what makes them different. Some engines have different crankshafts for manual and automatic, depending on whether or not they are machined for pilot bearings. I do not think this is the case with the 5.0L Ford, but it would be worth checking. The rest of it is just parts.
