I think dual exhaust is easier on the 240s than 700/900. On the 7/9, you have to have everything go down the passenger side, and the rearmost muffler cavity isn't that big. I know plenty of people run dual on a 740, but if I had a 740 V8, I would run a single.

If you take out the main fuel pump on a 240, there is a lot of room on the driver's side. I have seen pictures of 240s with 2 mufflers in front of the axle, but I don't have any of the pics. Hopefully, someone with that setup will chime in.
