Mike,

Do you already have a long-block on hand?

If not, you may want to consider a "crate motor" (for example, Ford's M-6007-XE3M pushes 340 HP for around $4000), and could be drop-shipped to Ross' place in Maine.

FWIW, I just looked into this for my car, but it looks like I'll hold what I have (for now) . . . .

As Greg implied, the car should be in good (or better) shape--or the emotional attachment should be strong--because this is one of those "in for a nickel, in for a dime" kind of projects (ask me how I know).
