I post quite a lot on the RWD forum. This is my first post on the V8 forum
In addition to five turbo 700 series cars, I own a 1988 744T with a Converse 5 liter Ford and T5 transmission. The car originally had an automatic transmission, so it had a non-locking 3.73 rear end. I had the chance to buy a 1041K rear end (3.31:1 ratio) from a 1992 960. After installing the rear end, the car drives much better. However, the speedometer shows about 50% of actual speed. Has anyone dealt with this? Does someone know of a shop that can re-calibrate the speedometer? I want to leave the 3.31 ratio locking rear eng in the car, but I must have a working speedometer.
