Ford 5.0 wiring and cooling setups

Greetings! I've been reading this forum for years now and it has saved my projects many times, so thanks to everyone for such a great resource! First time posting, so here goes...

I'm working on putting a '93 Ford 5.0 V8/T5 into my 1993 940 Turbo Wagon. The engine and transmission are being transplanted from an '87 760 Wagon that was built with a Converse kit, but some kinda questionable/sloppy wiring was done by the shop that finished the conversion. I'm planning to swap over all the Converse bits that I can find though.

#1: Has anyone used a Painless Performance wiring harness for their conversion? (specifically http://www.painlessperformance.com/webcatalog/lv.php?sl=60511 ) It is factory coded to the original Mustang harness, and will be better quality than a used 'stang one, but I'm not sure if it'll be easier installation wise. I know some slicing up would have to be done in order to connect to the Volvo fuse box etc.

#2: I've read a number of posts about the best cooling setup, and it sounds like there are multiple options that work so it's mostly builder's choice. Are folks still having good luck with the DC Control temp controllers? I'm thinking that controller (FK-75, http://www.dccontrol.com/constant_temperature_controllers.htm ), a V6 radiator re-cored to 3 row and a Spal dual 11" fan/shroud. Anyone running a similar setup? Recommendations? I do a lot of driving, often enough to hot areas that I'd rather build the cooling system to handle anything thrown at it.

#3. Are there any clever fixes out there for the trans tunnel/manual shifter clearance problem? Or is the best way to deal with it just cutting a notch in the tunnel just behind the fuse box?

Thanks! I'm sure I'll come up with more as the project progresses.

Dave
