I think I know that Atlanta wagon--my friend/neighbor, who had a very nice silver '85 745 with a 5.0 and an AOD with no OD, and with very high miles, told me he shipped his car to a guy down there. My friend said that the guy was going to use the conversion parts in another car, but was so impressed with the condition of the wagon that he didn't want to tear it apart.
If the guy will sell the wagon--which, to my knowledge, has always been a PNW car and is probably rust-free, probably you could just replace the tranny and put in some fresh suspension bushings so it doesn't feel so loose (which it did when I rode in it), and you'd have an extremely good-looking, well-kept V8 Volvo. He bought the engine with 9000 miles on it and ran it probably about another 130,000, with fanatical maintenance (synthetic always, etc, etc). Check that out.
