I actually don't agree with you. I believe either motor can look "stock" if you use volvo parts for the things that can be volvo. For example, by using a volvo 940 fan and shroud, with all of the little volvo decals on it, my front end (inside the engine compartment) IS actually stock. My biggest complaint with the way the converse kit looks is that wires are running everywhere. Spending a chunk of time to appropriately route wires can make a big difference in my mind.

If you eliminated the red powder-coating, most people wouldn't have a clue that my LT1 wasn't stock.

Just my thoughts. =)
