fluid temperatures in LT1/4L60E?

That oil temp does seem kind of high for just cruising down the freeway. However, I would think 245 is still in the safe range. I used to see those kinds of temps in my SCCA G Production Spitfire on a hot day during a race. I'll admit, though, I'm not that familiar (though I'd like to be) with the LT1. I think many cars today run water to oil oil coolers which would make me assume that oil temps closer to coolant temps are desirable. BTW, have you checked your fuel mileage yet? I'm contemplating an LT1 swap myself.
