You are killing me, but I must be patient with you because it is tricky.
The way you think it should be is not the way it is!
The statement you made below is completely wrong AGAIN-
Re: So what I am saying is that both of the people bid exactly $6000 as their maximum proxy bid. Because if you look at the bid history, the bid amount for both people is $6000. So by looking at that, can't you say that the winning bidder had a maxumum proxy bid of $6000?
I keep telling you over and over again that you will NEVER know what (0) had as his maximum proxy bid, and it seems you do not believe me. It could have been a $20,000 proxy bid, because ebay does not divulge that info, only a high enough bid from out of the $20,000, in this case $6000, to win the auction. I am not sure how many times I have to make that statement before you get it. I remember that I was confudsed by that part of it for some time, so don't feel bad, I am not talking down to you. By the way, the 2nd place guy does not have any proxy bid in place until he bids over the current proxy bid (unknown), in this case an unknown higher amount bid by (0), it could have been $100,000.00. Even if (0) had a proxy bid of a million dollars, he would have still won the auction at only $6000, not a penny more. Please consider what I have said here and if you still do not get it, please ask me to clarify again. Peace.
