Good day all fellow Brickers, finally driving home my black beauty with 123k miles from the dealer, the check engine came on 2 blocks from home. Any suggestions on why this light came on? Can it be reset by me?

    It's probably a small problem. But shouldn't the car lot be accountable for the diagnosis and fix of it, seeing that is 2 hours old>

    Hello, tmmanian is correct, just don't be surprised if the unit they have for customers use doesn't communicate with your Volvo. That was my experience when I tried two stores' scanners. Also, there are basic scanners which will read codes but fail to erase them. I own one of them. My ScanGauge (first generation) has never let me down. Kira

    Stop by an Autozone or similar parts store and they'll read out the code for you. Might even reset it for you. Without knowing what it is, there's just too many things to guess...
