02 V70 Alarm Problem V70-XC70

Klaus, thanks for the help, the alarm module was very easy to get out. The car will start without it and programming isn't required.
I sawed mine open to find the internal battery had leaked acid on the circuit board that is below the battery.....nice (NOT) design. Why didn't they have the battery on the bottom? If it had leaked the circuit board wouldn't have been eaten up with acid.
Volvo want's $260 for one, I did find (google) that some GM cars use the same module, however when I called the Chevy dealers they were all on backorder, cost was ~$90 but I didn't want to wait for a month.
I got a used one for $85 from Erie Volvo in NY, 315-736-8215 or 888-441-3743.
It had a date code on it from 2005 so it should last for another 5 years before this battery leaks.

I took a few pics but I'm not really sure how to post them.
Here's a link to the first one, hope it works.
