12V source for radio plug S70

Hello everyone.
I'm installing a Blitzsafe iPod adapter to the back of my SC-816 radio. I'm following the instructions but cannot find a 12V source on any of the 2 big plugs on the back of that radio.
I've used a voltmeter on every cable and cant find 12V. I may be using it wrong so I'm going to Google how to use a voltmeter. At this point I'm going quite mad.
Does anyone know which wire carries 12V back there? This site: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/VOL-M-LINK1-V.1.html says it should be pin 12 or 13. The website asks me to find a red cable with a black stripe but there is no such cable on the big plug.
I'm assuming the two solid blacks are ground.
Here's the link to the device: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/VOL-M-LINK1-V.1.html

Thanks for any assistance.

Get rid oif the voltmeter and use a test light. Ground 1 side oof the light and probe with the other with the key on. You'll find it

How does one go about getting the radio code? According to the manual, if the battery is disconnected, then you need the code afterward, or the stereo won't work right.

Call a dealer's parts dept. You will need to supply a VIN. But many owners have written down the code and put it with the owner's manual.

        Radio code S70

It is supposed to be in the glove box, I wrote mine in the owner's manual in a couple of places. I also wrote it on the top of the radio, just in case...

The 4 digit numbers are 1-6 only, they correspond to the preset keys on the front of the radio. If you do not have the number, a dealer can get you the number if you supply the VIN. Best bet with a dealer is to GO to the parts dept in person and ask, nicely, with VIN in hand.

          Radio code S70

I have it written on the inside of the glove box door, and a piece of tape on top of the radio, and the cards inside the glovebox wallet. Basically, I put it as many places as possible. (True, it could be stolen. But by whom? Who would steal a Volvo radio?)

Mine is not the original radio, how does a Volvo dealer know the code then?
