is the 2000 (only) V70/S70 motor the same in the base and the SE models? V70-XC70

We have a 2000 v70 SE and love the ride and power of the motor and have a 98 v70 base, but hate the ride and the power. So, we're thinking about getting rid of the 98 and buying another 2000, but are wondering if the 2000 v70/s70 motor has the same power in the base and the SE. We are only interested in the 2000, not the 2001 or 2002.

Any thoughts?
thanks!

The engines for 1998-2000 have the same bhp. Base = 168, LPT = 198, HPT =245. Not actual figures, but pretty close. Your SE, Special Edition 2000 has the LPT and booster seats.

If you want more GO, you would have to get the T5.
