for replacing the rivets in the wheel well I have had some success with a replacement from Pep Boys - sort of a plastic rivet but you insert the outer casing then lock in place with a plastic screw (phillips head). They can be reused, but the screw part is weak and somwtines requires replacement. Better than the rivets, though. I believe I used 3/16.
