I have one of those knock off dice.

it reads and erases any and all codes as in the car, every single module, it reads off live data. this is important and usefull for example when i had to change out the transmission fluid in our xc90, there is no dipstick so the level is checked with knowing the temperature of the fluid and when it starts to drip off of a hole.
you can activate anything that is controlled by the car. so you can get into the ecu for example and turn on the cooling fan, tests you dash, roll up and and down windows. check status of relays. and on and on its a pretty impressive thing
but you will NOT be able to do any programming or downloading of software into any modules. for this you'd need a subscription to the database.

i love mine.
