The knock off DICE (VIDA) has anyone used one? What does it do that a code reader like the BSR PPC can't do?

Here's a link I found. Complete software everything but a computer. I friend bought one for his Benz and is very happy. Not sure if the Volvo one is as involved as the Benz.
