Radiator Fan

When is it not turning?

Be careful, the fan can run without the car being on.

If you plan to mess with the fan - either unplug it or disconnect the battery,

Can you turn the fan by hand - if not the ban is seized and most likely needs to be replaced.

Can you connect 12 volts directly to the fan plug? If this does not cause the fan to run, possibly you have a bad fan. If it does run, you most likely have a bad switch - usuallu attached to the radiator.

If you do not have the ability to do these tests, I suggest that you go to a dealer for help - NO FAN CAN CAUSE THE DESTRUCTION OF YOUR ENGINE. Over heating is a common cause of today's engine failures.

If you have a later model without a temperature gauge, damage to your engine without any warning.

If you have a temperature gauge, because of its design - if it goes above normal, the temperature may be REALLY high.
