Re: ODB codes & a 235 I read. 850 1994

What is the difference between all of the terminals on the "thing you read codes off of"? What will A1 tell me that B7 won't and vice versa?

Also, I read a 235 off of terminal A1 and this is ECU memory loss. Is this due to the fact that within the last 3 days I had unplugged the terminal of the battery for a reset or does it actually have a short term memory and possibly need to be replaced?

Just for my future knowledge, what the hell does "IMHO" mean?!

Thanks for the info -Stu.

    Codes Pulled> HELP! 850 1994

    My findings:
    A1: 111
    A2: 325
    A3: 444
    A7: 122
    B1: 325
    B2: 122

I found the definition on another post for:
A7 122: engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor interval too long
B1 325: recirculation damper motor active too long

Hope I don't sound like a moron (I actually don't care, new &eager to learn about this stuff!) but what does this mean and does it explain why I had the flashing arrow with the CEL? Where do I check. I DO have a high pitched "hiss/whistle" at certain points of acceleration, does all this constitute the vacuum hoses being replaced? Thanks for helping me out. -Stu.

    Re: ODB codes & a 235 I read. 850 1994

A-1 is the auto trans. 235 means the trans oil temp was high. A-2 is fuel system. A-3 is ABS. A-5 is TCU. (turbo control) A-6 is ignition system(some models) A-7 is combined instrument panel. B-1 is electronic climate control. B-2 is cruise control. B-2 will ALWAYS have code 122 UNLESS you drive car above 35 mph first and read codes BEFORE switching off engine. B-5 is SRS. B-6 is power seat.
