I own a 2001 S60, I have had to replace the headlights 4 times in the last year.
The dealer tells me that it is a problem with the lights. Is there any other type of bulb that I can use that will last longer? is it just my car or are other people having problems with there lights also.

I've been thru 3 bulbs in 18 months. Each time they change both the left and right. I've had to replace the front twice and the rear brake light one. The service rep told me it's becasue the daytime running lights are on all the time that they burn out. Sounds good to me.....

I don't by that the daytime running lights are on all the time and that burns them out. I own a 1993 Subaru that has 190,000 miles and it has the daytime running lights on all the time also, and I have NEVER had to replace a light bulb. I have just submitted to the fact that I will have to replace lights all the time, besides the lights I lovr the car, that for your input.

I think you may have something wrong. Mine is 1-2/3 years old 21K miles and have replaced any headlights yet.

Is Volvo forever doomed to faulty light wiring? The resistor circuit makes sense - it's what they did in the recall of the 98 SVC70's, too.

Thanks for the information, I think I will talk to the dealer about changing out the wiring harness,
