DIY ABS Module Repair? S70

Hi,
My ABS/TRACS lights are on. Dealer says the problem is the ABS Module - Question is, What makes this unit fail?? can it be a DIY? If I open this thing, what do I have to do to get this thing to work. I can take it to a qualified electronic tech with no experience with ABS modules.
Please share any experiences.
Lets get this mystery solved!!!!
