broken door strap mount V70-XC70 1998

I have a 1998 V70 that has a cracked body side door strap mount. This afternoon i removed the door expecting to do the same repair that i did on my 1995 850 sedan, which was to drill out the broken spotwelds and put bolts and nuts to strengthen it. After looking it over i realised that it is a different setup from the 850. The body is cracked at the front of the door strap mount and it does not seem to be a way to repair it like the 850. Any help will be appreciated. thanks, bob
