Bilstein Shocks ??? 850 1996

I own a 1996 850 GLT Wgn,and I just recently installed Bilstien shocks and IPD sway bars front and back. The car handles much better and with less body roll, but I lost that plush ride. On cold days the car tends to ride harder, it takes the small bumps ok, but not the large ones. Is this normal with these shocks???
