Lower Control arm to steeriring knuckle slop 850

Before I get the alignment, I was looking for the source of some nasty sounds
coming from the front drivers side. Now I find more slop where the lower ball joint attaches to the steering knuckle. This was bad before and its a
Chinese made FCP lower control arm. I could turn the original chinese supplied bolt around for a temporary solution. The FCP sent a Volvo OEM bolt.

Is that right? I read somewhere that there's a pair of shims to be installed
to lock the ball joint. And think that there should be a precision threaded pin there, maybe hardened, instead of a common bolt. what's the story?

The good news is that I found this defect before getting the alignment.

Bill
