Does anyone know if the memory for the car stereo is external to the radio itself. The dealer was to change my stereo (skipping cd in extremely cold weather) but the stored channels are identicial to the original. I'm questioning this because they had a change in service managers and the new one made a big point of not being able to verify the skipping (weather had become milder). Initally he argued the point that he just couldn't change it on my suggestion, until I informed him the previous manager had verified it. He immediately did a 180 told me the unit had been changed and sent me off. Service had been extremely good here previously, but this last visit was bizarre.
