ABS/TRACS light on V70-XC70 1998

Just bought a '98 V70 (non-turbo) for our daughter to kick around in; great first car, I think. It has 199,000 miles on it ($1500), but it is running great and is in great shape. The only real issue seems to be that the ABS and TRACS lights are on, and the ABS doesn't work. I'd like to get it fixed ASAP. I am wondering what the issue might be. I am told it could be an ABS module. If so, is this a DIY job for someone with moderate skills? (I can do brakes, oil changes, etc., and have gone a little deeper for things like replacing a PNP switch, fixing broken door and tailgates.) If so, should I buy a new one, or is it a reasonable thing to get from a salvage yard?

Thanks, as always!
