Embarrassed to say I can't find the spark plugs V70-XC70 99

I'm not averted to letting a service department work on my car, but I've always changed my own plugs as well as doing other basic maintenance. I recently took off the plastic cover on the engine expecting to find the plugs but I only saw what appeared to be electronic parts...no plugs. I didn't want to mess around with anything else since I don't know what I'm doing. Is changing plugs a major service department job now? Or can someone who's done this at home suggest what to do next other than buying a manual. Thanks.
