I have a 1996 turbo 855 with the check engine light on. Everything else checks out for the code, 422, which has been pulled from the computer 3 times by my independent mechanic. Fuel pressure is good, no intake or exhaust leaks, one oxygen sensor already replaced, compression is 160 on cyls 1 and 5, 165 on 2,3, and 4. This leaves the catalytic converter as the culprit. I am waiting for my warranty booklet that I ordered to come in. Does anyone have the warranty information for the emissions system, specifically the catalytic converter? Is it 8 years, 80,000 miles or 5/50000. currently have 49900 on it. The local Volvo dealers are giving me different information as to the warranty, the dealer I bought it from (Carmax) has been extremely unhelpful. I would rather not spend $600.00 on a new cat if I don't have to. Thanks in advance!
