recharging a/c S70

I need some information on how to get the a/c compressor running to recharge the system. My a/c started blowing hot air last night. I got a canister of R-134 but i need to put some kind of jumper wire so the compressor can run so I can add the r-`134. I would appreciate it if anybody out there can help me on this one.
