The worse case scenario! I finally got the compressor started by hot wiring to the battery (with fuse box and switch) and put about 2 cans of refrigerant( it was very empty, total 25 ozs. max capacity), it was cooling good. When I came back to re-test the a/c again half an hour later it was blowing hot air, there was even a smell of gas in the cabin. I took the car to Volvo and I was not surprise when they told me it was the evaporator with a pretty big leak. I have gotten away with recharging the a/c four times already in a year or so. They wanted $1200 for repairing it. I took the car to my regular mechanic, he is going to do it for $800 and I can watch! What hurts me the most is, it is a lease car that I may not keep, but life is tough sometimes.
Thanks for the advices!
