I have an emergency...my 19 850 sedan has 101,000 miles. Twice in the last several days it just stopped/stalled in traffic. First there was a problem accelerating from a stop, which I should have taken as a warning. Then it just stopped--it turned over, as though it could not get enough gas, but did not really turn on. After about 10 minutes, it started up again, fine, and I drove the rest of the day without a problem. I filled up with premium gas in case the problem was moisture in the tank, but that did not seem to be the problem.
Six months ago, I replaced the fuel pump relay because of a similar problem, although then it would not start from a dead stop.
A service station that works on Volvos said this was a real fluke--he has never seen it before in a Volvo.
What could it be--fuel pump, computer, throttle body?
I would appreciate any and all advice...
Thanks,
