URGENT!!!Car keeps stalling.. 850

I have had similar problems with two other non-Volvo's and in both cases it was a bad Catalytic Converter (they were plugged). See if your mechanic can test exhaust flow. If it is plugged it will put too much back pressure on the engine. I could be wrong but my other two cars exhibited the same problems you describe, and it took them along time to find it in the first car (They replaced many things before they figured it out.)
