Any one tried heating up the bracket to replace top motor mount? 850 1995

I am expecting a new mount/bushing tomorrow, and already decided to remove whole bracket for easier access to remove old one and possibly compress a new one in. It just occur to me today that, if the bracket is heated up, it will expand and possibly allow a new bushing to be placed in w/o using any compression (C-clamp or 2 plates+screw).
Any thoughts about this? Any one did this?
