T5 Experiences Mileage V70-XC70

I took the plunge and bought a used 2001 T5 wagon (5 speed) with only 30,000 miles. It is a cream puff. I am moving up from a 1995 Wagon 5 speed with a normally aspirated engine.

How do people like the performance? (I actually haven't driven it as it is in Arizona)

How about mileage with a 5 speed?

Can I expect to be able to blow away BMW 5 series (With the exception of the 540 I)
