I have the opportunity to purchase a low mileage (80K) 1996 850 GLT Turbo that has been well maintained. I am wondering about fuel economy and general cost of maintenance. Do you have to use 92 octane fuel? How is the gas mileage on these cars assuming a moderate driver? Do they generally need a lot of repair under normal driving conditions? We just sold a very reliable 740 and I don't want to get into high repair and operational costs. Thanks for your help.
