Five Years Old S40-V40 2000

Miker

You are right. It might be better to keep the car then to make new car loan/note for five more years. I should tell you that I picked mine up as Certified Used Car about three years ago from one of the Volvo dealerships here in town.

On the bright side the car has been interesting. I have all the service records back to day one and kept the car up. Maintaninng the car at the dealership has not been too bad. So far its has been limited to Headlights (two sets), Brake pads (two sets). Check Engine Light "issue" was resolved early on. I replaced the origional battery at 39 months. This is all minor stuff.

My issue right now involves the suspension (again). I hear a rubbing noise from the right front wheel area. The dealer replaced the left and right strut bearings and the ends of the swaybar (I think) when I bought the car. Now the noise is back. I had the strut plates replaced about a week ago but that has not corrected the problem. I also hear noise from the wheel area when it rains and I go over a speed bump at low speeds,

Any ideas? Is anyone else having this problem?
