Wheel/Brake upgrade? Turbo mod? S40-V40 2000

Has anybody out there looked into the possibility of upgrading the dinky s40 wheels/hubs/brakes by modifying to use s60-70 or 850 components? That would sure improve things a lot on an otherwise really fun little car. Aftermarket big brake kits cost almost as much as the whole car, so that's not a reasonable option. All constructive comments would be greatly appreciated. Also, has anyone tried a manual boost controller on an s40? Would be very interested to know y'all's thoughts on that, too.
