Idle RPM setting 850 1996

I have just treated myself to Another Volvo, a 850 T5 auto. The idle speed seems high, around 1000/1050, enough to pull the car along as I lift off hand brake. How can I reduce the idle rpm? My other Voolvo is a 240 GLT auto 19 years young!!!
