03 xc: cd won`t eject

Hi,
My wife has just bought an 03 XC, loves the car but was playing a CD & finds that CD player will not eject. All that comes up is "error".
Any solution to this situation? BTW, this CD is not a CD that we burned.
She has only had the car for 2 days so will be phoning the dealer where she bought the car first thing Monday am.
