Looking at 03 S80, are 03MY any better? S80

After reading at least a thousand times to stay away from the S80, I can't help myself.

Do the newer model years get progressively better or does all the S80 discussion board slamming apply to ALL S80s? If so, how in the world do they keep selling them?
