Re: Has my blower motor failed? S70 98

My boss was just telling me how he had to replace the blower

in hist Chevy Astro every 30K miles. So, maybe thats the

same part, too :)

In any case, I just ordered a new one (motor and cage) for

$135. The part number is not the same as the 850 series.

Since $135 is the cost of an hour of labor here (San Francisco

Bay Area) the real cost for me is labor and the OEM part

is best way to go since I'll replace it myself.

P.S. Just Sunday night I was saying to my wife that the heater

in her car warmed it up much faster then mine (she has a 95 855).

In retrospect, I think the fan in my car must have been going

out slowly the past couple of weeks and totally failed Monday

morning.
