strange heating problem V70-XC70 1999

I cheated. By loosening the bottom radiator hose at the block and letting about 1 quart drain into a clean bucket. Just don't over tighten the clamp and make sure the clamp is in the same position on the hose before you touched it. Then I took the drained antifreeze and poured it back into the overflow bottle, minus a little crud on the bottom.

As to cleaning the ETM, please be careful not to rub it. There is a Canadian firm that makes replacement ETM for 1/2 the dealer price and will last forever.
